This is one of a series of minimal works using cotton tape stretched across the canvas. While sitting away from the canvas these gesture at straight lines extending away in the picture plane. The works are all white, except for the undersides of the tapes, which are painted so that the colour reflects off the canvas below. In this way the works respond directly to the lighting in their environment.
When it was first exhibited this piece was part of a larger composite work called The Waves.
