This traces work is the backing used when spraying the gold tapes for Shifting Fortunes. The title, Stripped Assets, relates to the theme of that work, which has to so with the ways that abundance and deficit switch at different times in history, and in our lives. As well as the gold having been ‘stripped off’, the negative spaces in the work also relate to the idea of a deficit.
