In this work the ambient light is both the subject and the means.

The Pythia was the high priestess of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, of whom Heraclitus is thought to have said:
The sybil with raving mouth utters things mirthless, unadorned and unperfumed, her voice reaching over a thousand years through the god within her – which is as good a definition of Art as any.
